John Peters was warm and friendly right from the first meeting where he talked through all our requirements and moments that we wanted captured on the day. He was able to record the finest detail and moments that may otherwise have been forgotten due to the day passing so quickly!. When they say enjoy your day because it goes so fast, they are right, it does. However, having the memories available to view and re-live at any time, is wonderful. Not only was the finished product amazing but most guests did not even realise that it was being filmed. John is a truly nice, courteous and professional guy to have working for you. Well, what can we say either than that our video is brilliant and has missed nothing! Anyone can hold a camera and press REC, but what you'll get from a professional like John is the capturing of those subtle moments and facial expressions that you missed and tell the story more than words! The magic happens in the meticulous editing. You can see the refined little touches from someone who actually connects into your special day and "feels" it in order to be able to recreate the emotions on video. The video diaries and 5 min highlights were a great touch too and we loved them! John listens to you, is very flexible in his approach and actually gives you what you want rather than what he thinks you should have, as others may do. Despite being a well built tall chap, John is invisible to the naked eye on the day unless he wants you to see him; this help keep the final product less staged and more natural. As John will tell you: "I make documentary films of couples' special day"; so don't worry, you won't get cheesy euro-trash special effects! Thanks for the great work John. God Bless. We were very happy with the video you did for our wedding. We felt it really captured the whole day and we're so glad you could stay right to the end as the lantern release was the perfect end to a perfect day! You and your assistant, Nick were both so easy to get on with and blended in very well! Our families also thoroughly enjoyed watching it and being able to listen to the speeches again was lovely because we obviously missed or forgot things on the day so to have that as a keepsake is great. When we decided to have our wedding day recorded professionally rather than by a friend, I set out researching the most competitive deal on the web. After a time spent looking I fell upon "Dream Capture - Wedding Video Productions" whose starting price was more than reasonable. I was impressed when I read how much that particular package included. However, when I first started speaking with John Peters, I realised how much more my money would be paying for. Throughout the entire experience I found John to be very approachable, helpful and considerate of our needs. On the Big Day, John and his assistant were incredibly professional, making my husband and I relaxed, as for the most part we barely noticed they were there. The end result of the wedding DVD was more than I could have asked for. John had managed to capture all of the wonderful moments, memories which, without the DVD, would have faded with time. I am so grateful to John and his team for all the hard work they put in to our DVD and would strongly recommend them to anyone wanting a more intimate, special memory of their day. One of our best decisions for our wedding was choosing John Peters as videographer, not least because we have a beautifully crafted and technically brilliant record of our special day which has drawn so much praise from family and friends. John worked so hard for us on a very long day and seemed to know exactly what we would want without having to trouble us with any queries. Indeed, he provided a very reassuring presence at certain times, particularly for the nervous groom. However, John's work extended far beyond the wedding day, putting in many hours of editing and then further prompt work to make any adjustments we wanted while making plenty of helpful suggestions of his own. I am sure John worked many more hours than our payment justified, but he was never less than friendly and helpful at all times. The service provided by Dream Capture has certainly exceeded our expectations. We were both delighted with the end result of our wedding video – it is everything we hoped for and more, John captured the celebrations perfectly whilst being very discreet and unobtrusive on the day itself. We are sure that this will provide us with a lasting memory of a perfect wedding - as well as allowing us to “re-live” the events of the day it also captured some of the action which we inevitably missed at the time! We will be sending copies to our families overseas who were unable to make the wedding itself and I have no doubt that through John’s video they will be able to share in some of the emotion and celebration of the day retrospectively, which means a great deal to us. I wanted to try to express my thanks for this work of art. But it is really hard to tell you quite how much pleasure it has given me - and all the friends and relatives who have seen it so far. Alice may have told you that both I myself and her father work in television so we are pretty up to speed with story-telling through film. Maybe because of that, I was very anxious about this area of the wedding arrangements. Mainly because I knew it would be the one permanent reminder of the whole flavour of the day - so much more so than the official photographs. But none of us wanted the kind of "flash", over-contrived footage that we had glimpsed in various show-reels. Nor did it seem right to bring in the heavy guns of the documentary crews. Well. You have achieved what I thought was impossible. Your film has all the production values of a professional team - superb editing and a truly brilliant structure - but it has the quality of something very personal indeed. Which is wonderful. You have captured all the close-ups of the principals and the important relatives that I could possibly require (and I am very demanding in this area!) and yet you have also evoked the sense of place so well. Really done justice to both of the venues and the stunning jazz band procession between the two. It all looks such fun. And yet you have also caught the truly moving moments central to this whole event: mostly in the church of course, but there were several too during the speeches. Am so glad these are now preserved for posterity. The first dance is the icing on the cake. A triumph and a joyous end to a really great achievement. Thank you John. John was very friendly, committed and flexible throughout the service. We were able to have a lot of input at the editing stage which meant that the content of the film was exactly what we wanted. Choosing our own music meant the film struck exactly the right tone. The film was a good combination of being a faithful record of the day and also a snapshot of the day, if we just watch the montage scenes. Having a detailed menu, which we were able to add our own chapters to, means that we can skip to whatever we feel like watching and showing to friends and family. The first dance montage was really lovely, and we also really appreciated that the emailable montage was different from this and more upbeat - which was what we preferred for sending out en masse. We loved the titles and the look and feel of the film. For us, it was a perfect mix of classic with a modern twist. It really captured the whole spirit and theme of the day. We are both very pleased with the DVD. Indeed, it is has exceeded our expectations. The quality of the filming and editing is very good. The DVD has certainly helped us to relive the day and to view proceedings from a different perspective. There were a number of important events that I missed and that I was not allowed to witness, such as Jules arriving outside the Pavilion before the ceremony. The DVD has helped bring together these key moments. Our friends and family are eager to see the DVD: needless to say it will give pleasure to a lot of people both in the near future and generally over the years. Thank you also for your friendly, accessible and accommodating approach. We are grateful to you for being genuinely interested in our wedding day (and our specific requirements) and for making the occasion as smooth and seamless as possible. We have just finished watching our Wedding DVD for the first of what we are sure will be many, many times - Wow! It brought back so many memories of our day, as well as showing us the bits we'd missed or forgotten. We both felt that you totally captured the relaxed and fun atmosphere of our day. Your choice of music, from the selection we gave, was absolutely perfect with such amazing attention to detail. We also really enjoyed the many clever and special effects that you used, such as the black & white parts and the split screen sections. The Montage, where you switched between our first dance and highlights of the day is probably our favourite part. We also loved our guests messages and having our honeymoon photos on the DVD. While writing, we also wanted to comment on how much we enjoyed dealing with you throughout. We particularly found the pre-wedding meeting at our venues very useful and lots of fun! We also found that your presence on the day wasn't really one of the Video Man but rather that you were part of the day. In many ways by the end of it you were almost one of the family! Many guests have certainly commented on our friendly Video Man since! We were very pleased to hear that you are now going into this full-time. You certainly have a huge talent in this area. Just wanted to say that we finally got an evening to ourselves and watched the dvd the other night and it was fantastic. It caught a lot of great parts of the day, some of which we had missed and some we had simply forgotten in the blur the day seemed to fly by in(!) so we are really very grateful. It was quite emotional watching the day all over again, I don't mind admitting that we both had wet eyes at parts of it, definitely through happiness!!! It will be great to show our little bump the dvd in a few years!
